THAT A WOMAN'S WORK IS NEVER DONE?
Today I had hoped it would be an easier day for me than it has been these past couple of weeks. But no....I was in the kitchen making myself a cup of nice hot coffee in a new brown cup I bought this week and no...I started looking at my cookbooks because I had just visited a blog that had the same cookbook I have and it just prompted me to look at it again. It had been a while since I flipped the pages and then when I did flip the pages I noticed "DUST." That terrible nose stuffing stuff that makes you gag. Well that did it.
When I volunteered at the library I used to clean the books in the basement with Goo Gone and it worked pretty good, so I started using it for home use. It works pretty good. I had to dust off the books first and then I would clean with the Goo Gone. To make a long story short, I have a lot of cookbooks and what I've taken pictures of, are no where near what I have. These are my kitchen cookbooks, mostly Spanish/Mexican cuisine. They were all dusty, so I cleaned them and now have to put them in their shelf space.
So you see, a woman's work is never done. From the time she wakes in the morning she is filled with daily duties that last most of the day. I'm glad I don't work or I would never be able to do it all. I'm lucky if I find time to get in the studio. Why I haven't had my hair styled in ages, let alone cut. Oh what the heck, I'm letting it grow long anyway. I always have it in a braid or bun, so I shouldn't complain. I better get back to cleaning, but here are some of my cookbooks. The one that caused me all this trouble was this beauty: MEXICO, THE BEAUTIFUL COOKBOOK
So here are the rest of the ones that reside in my kitchen. All the other cookbooks are in the pantry and someday I will show you all of them.
OKAY I'M GOING TO THE KITCHEN TO CLEAN, A WOMAN'S WORK IS NEVER DONE!! BUT I'M HAPPY AND CONTENT, THAT'S WHY I ALWAYS SAY
VIVA LA VIDA!
