Haiku HuMp DaY-Bread baking
Fresh from the oven
The aroma fills the house
I'm in scent heaven
HELEN (be there or be square, tee hee)
I bake bread whenever I get the chance. Love the way it smells when it's baking and how fresh it tastes when done. Homemade is best. Being old fashioned is what makes me really happy, besides painting of course.
Have a great Hump day. (tomorrow :))
Quote from Rose over at
Ari's explains her style to Ari:
"It's like how an artist picks out his paints everyday. That's how I choose a certain scarf or belt."
Frida's Words
"I'd like to paint you, but there are no colors, because there are so many, in my confusion, the tangible form of my great love."
~Frida Kahlo
(Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
YUMMMMMM I can smell that bread from here. I love the smell and taste of fresh homemade bread. I love to bake it too.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I haven't made bread in many years. I love the smell of it baking, and eating it still warm. *sigh* Wonderful haiku, Gloria! Thanks for playing in Hump Day haiku!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, that bread looks gooooooooood! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI also like to make bread, the house seems so lived in and active with that aroma. If someone comes over to visit they also appreciate . They never make an air freshener that would be that good. Your bread looks prefect.
ReplyDeleteFun to have different shaped loaves.
After being on a clear liquid diet for the last 5 days I can eat that whole loaf no problems, oh what am I saying, I can eat the whole load of home made bread any time. LOL

Oh my goodness, your bread looks delicious! My Mom used to bake bread every week. We'd come home from school and slice into a loaf, fresh from the oven, slather it in butter and eat it.
ReplyDeletePS- Glad you will be joining us!! It truly feels great to be lightening the load a bit.

I used to bake bread from scratch too. Then they came out with a bread machine that took all the fun away. So I stopped making it.
